The
Mott High School
Football team was awarded the Steve Spicer Memorial Leadership
Award. The award is given each year by the Michigan High
School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) in recognition of
outstanding community leadership. Mott football has given much
to the community over the past year, participating in
Waterford Summer Fest, serving meals for Waterford Senior
Center at Christmas, and the Mott Mentors program at Donelson
Hills Elementary School. New this year for Mott football was
their work with the Oakland County Sheriffs at their annual
Fishing Derby for handicap children. The players also adopted
a local family and donated their own money for the family
during Christmas. Waterford Mott football continues to be a
leader in community service. Mott has received the Steve
Spicer Award twice in the last eight years. (1999 & 2004) |
