Dear Mott Community,

I am truly honored to be the Principal at Waterford Mott High School. Our students, staff, and our families do amazing things for the good of our school and the Waterford community. We guarantee you that Mott has numerous opportunities for students to show their Corsair pride throughout their four years by utilizing the exceptional education they will receive as well as being part of other school organizations to enhance their lives.

Our vision in the Waterford School District is to inspire, educate and empower our students for their future. In order for our students to reach this vision, the everyday guiding mission we ask of our students and staff is the follow the ‘Corsair Way’. This motto has four guiding principles. We ask our staff and students to: Be on time, come to school prepared, work hard, and choose success. It may sound simple even though the journey may not be easy, but our graduates are prepared for the adult world they will enter as civic-minded, empathic, caring, and optimistic citizens.

We value our partnerships within the community and throughout the state to offer more support and guidance to our students. Our current partnership with Wayne State University provides hundreds of opportunities through our College and Career (C2) Pipeline program. The Waterford S.T.E.M. program is also housed at Mott, utilizing numerous local businesses as partners for resources and support. The 7-period school day allows for numerous elective choices to provide students with options to excel in key areas of interest through our PAVA (Performing and Visual Arts), CTE (Career & Technical Education), AP (Advanced Placement), PE (Physical Education), as well as numerous electives beyond the core classes within the Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts departments.

With so many things to list as options, we cannot cover all of them in this space. What I can assure you is that Mott is a caring and supportive environment that will do whatever we can to guide our students down a path that allows them to choose success as the outcome.
