Arrive
to the theatre no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled
performance.
The house opens
30 minutes prior to an event and late arrivals are usually not
seated until an appropriate break in the action .
Dress appropriately for the
theatre. Casual dress is
typically the norm for theatrical performances.
No
food, drink, or chewing gum is allowed in the theatre or the lobby.
No concessions can be sold at events
that take place in the theatre.
When entering the theatre,
turn off all cell phones and pagers.
It is disrespectful to the audience members around you and to the
performers on stage to use one of these devices during an event.
Flash
photography is not allowed in the theatre during performances.
Flash photography is a distraction to
performers and potentially dangerous because it can momentarily
blind the performers on stage. Parent videotaping of performances,
under the Federal Copyright Law,
is permissible
when written permission from the copyright owner
has been granted.
Parents may operate a
handheld video recording device from their seat. Video recording
devices stationed on tri-pods are allowed in designated areas
only.
Talking
during a performance is discouraged.
It is disrespectful to the
performers working to entertain the audience.
If
it becomes necessary to leave during a performance, try to find a
break in the action rather than being disruptive to others around
you.
Remember that the performers
are working to entertain you, the audience.
At the end of a performance it is the right time to show your
appreciation for the performer’s hard work.
