We know that summer can be busy and appreciate the time and effort that students will take in completing the assignment.  Our goal with this assignment is to encourage students to be life-long learners, readers, and writers.  Through reading and writing, students develop critical thinking skills in addition to becoming better readers and writers.  We presented students with an engaging, enjoyable, and thought-provoking summer project that will build skills they need for the school year and life.  Teachers are excited that they will have an understanding of their student’s writing abilities and needs before the first day of school.

Everyone (parents, students, and staff) want students to be successful.  Completing the literature assignment in time for registration is the best way to start the 2011-2012 school year.

READ ONE BOOK + WRITE ONE PAPER = RECEIVE SCHEDULE AT REGISTRATION

ALL students are required to bring their assignment with them to registration in August, in order to receive his/her 2011-2012 schedule.
