Introducing the SSHS Counseling Connections Center Team...

Nicole Lutz,
MA, LLPC, CAADC, Therapist

Nicole has over 15 years of experience working with children, adults and families in Oakland and Wayne County. She previously worked for Catholic Social Services, conducting prevention programs in the Waterford and Pontiac School Districts. The programs include the Families and Schools Together Program and most recently the DinaSOAR  Children’s Support Program. Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Health Studies and Psychology from Michigan State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling Substance Abuse Specialization from Wayne State University. She has also obtained a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor Certification.

 

Heather Hicks, LLMSW, Therapist

Heather has experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. Previously, Heather provided a variety of school-based community mental health services to elementary and middle school students in Lexington, South Carolina. She also has worked as a social worker with children at a psychiatric hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Heather received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Michigan State University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina. Heather has also received a School Social Work Certification from the University of Michigan.
 

We believe mental health has a significant impact on a youth’s success in school, at home, and within the community.
