Janet
Z. Ritter, LMSW: Prevention Specialist, Crary & Pierce Middle
Schools
Janet Z. Ritter, LMSW, CPC is the SSHS Prevention Specialist at
Crary Middle School and Pierce Middle School. Janet is a new
employee with the Waterford School District. She was previously
employed with Catholic Social Services of Oakland County. Since
1982 she was the Coordinator for a prevention program in both
the Waterford School District and Pontiac School District. The
program was called Families and Schools Together and occurred
most recently at Donelson Hills and Burt Elementary Schools.
Janet has experience working with youth, families and the
community.
Janet received her B.A. in Social Work from Michigan State
University and her MSW from Wayne State University. She is a
licensed Social Worker in the state of Michigan. She also
obtained her Certified Prevention Consultant certification a few
years ago
Susan Steigmeyer: M.A., L.L.P.C.:
Prevention Specialist, Kettering High School
Sue Steigmeyer is in her 35th year as an educator in Waterford.
Sue has earned two masters degrees from Oakland University in
the areas of Special Education and Counseling. Sue
received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State in
Social Studies with a minor in English.
Sue has been a counselor at Waterford Kettering High School for
the last four years. Previously, she was the Student Assistance
coordinator at Kettering, where she conducted support groups,
provided drug and alcohol education along with violence
education and prevention programs. Before this assignment, Sue
was also a teacher consultant and educator for students with
disabilities at all levels - elementary, middle, and high
school. Sue began her illustrious career as a middle school
Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at Mason Middle School.
Sue was a member of the grant writing team for the SS/HS grant.
Jeffrey Tunnicliff, M.A., L.P.C.:
Prevention Specialist, Mott High School
Jeffrey Tunnicliff is the SSHS Prevention Specialist for
Waterford Mott High School. This is his first year with the
Waterford School District. For the past three years he worked
for Detroit Public Schools as a high school guidance counselor.
Previously, he worked as a guidance counselor in the adult and
alternative education program for L’Anse Creuse Public Schools
in Mount Clemens.
Jeffrey received his B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling
with specializations in both agency and school counseling from
Wayne State University. He has been a Licensed Professional
Counselor since 2002 and obtained his School Counselor License
from the Michigan Department of Education in 2003. The majority
of his professional experience has involved providing
comprehensive academic, social, and personal counseling to
culturally diverse, at-risk students.
Gen
Wandrie, LMSW: Prevention Specialist, Mason Middle & Waterford
Alt. High School
Gen Wandrie, LMSW, has extensive experience in prevention both
in school settings and in the community. She has been with
Waterford Schools for 10 years with prevention-related duties
including serving as supervisor of the district’s SAFE
programming. She served as director of the Success Program, a
district prevention program addressing students with attendance
and behavior concerns. Gen has also supervised after-school
mentoring programs in Waterford’s middle schools for 8 years.
She has been involved in community coalition building aimed at
addressing alcohol and drug prevention at the community level in
both Waterford and Lake Orion. Gen received her MSW from the
University of Michigan. She is also a licensed social worker in
the State of Michigan. Gen has grant writing experience for
after-school programs and was a member of the grant writing team
for the SS/HS grant. |
