Students identified to
participate in the program will be referred by school staff and
community partners. Students must attend a middle school, high
school, or Children’s Village within the WSD. Mentees will be
chosen based on involvement with the juvenile justice system or
have been identified as being at risk for court involvement. At
risk is defined as students who have exhibited truancy, a history
of substance abuse, or having received a diversion ticket.
Students will be interviewed and assessed by mentoring program
staff; they must be willing to participate in and commit to a one
year relationship with a mentor.

years old.
Site Based Mentoring Program
Students identified to participate in the program
will be referred by school staff. Students must attend the
Waterford Day Treatment Program at Kingsley Montgomery School.
Students must be willing to participate and commit to a one year
relationship with a mentor.
