Welcome to the Waterford ESL Department! There are over 30 languages spoken by the students of the Waterford School District! Our students speak many languages and come from a variety of cultures but all of them have the same aspiration: to learn English. It is the goal of the Waterford School District to meet the needs of each of our ELL students and their families. Support is offered for students with limited English proficiency as determined by testing and staff recommendation. In order to meet the varied needs of English Language Learners throughout the district, our program offers different levels of support to students from kindergarten through high school based upon individualized language acquisition plans.
