Currently there are almost 500 English Language Learners in the Waterford School District |
| Approximately 50% of our ELL students are
Spanish speakers The other 50% of our ELL population are fairly equally distributed between 30 other languages. |

| Over 250 of our 500 ELL students are "high intermediate" students working to acquire grading level writing and reading in the content area. | |
| We exited over 60 students in 2009-2010 because they were fully proficient in all areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. | |
| We have enrolled between 60-100 new ELL kindergarten students in the year each year. | |
